What is PowerSkin?
PowerSkin is a protective silicone case with a built-in rechargeable battery. It extends the life of the smartphone or other device, providing a protective cover and permanent power supply that can be charged over and over without need for removal.
Why is the PowerSkin case so unique?

Does the PowerSkin have a "quick charge"?
PowerSkin charges at a similar rate to most wall chargers.
Can I leave the PowerSkin case on my phone all the time?
Absolutely! PowerSkin is a silicone case that offers a permanent secondary power source that extends your battery life so it lasts all day long. At night you can recharge both the case and the phone simultaneously when plugged into your laptop or wall charger.
How much is twice the power?
PowerSkin typically provides twice the power of the original internal phone battery. PowerSkin cases for smartphones usually contain a power capacity at 1500 mAh. You can open your phone to check the internal battery capacity to compare.
How is the camera lens accommodated on the PowerSkin?
The PowerSkin case has an optically engineered camera lens window that does not interfere with the camera and eliminates flash glare from the skin's surface.
Does the PowerSkin work on all smartphones?
Typically each PowerSkin was designed for a specific brand and model, though we have found that some newer models can accommodate more than one.
Can I still plug into my HDMI port on my phone?
Yes, the PowerSkin does not cover the HDMI port.
How much thickness will be added to my phone?
Each PowerSkin is designed differently, but typically it will add around 8mm of thickness to your phone.
When I am charging my phone and the PowerSkin together, which one charges first?
Built-in smart technology knows to charge your phone first and then the PowerSkin, just in case you don't have the time to charge both, your phone comes first.
How long does it take to fully charge your PowerSkin?
Your PowerSkin alone should take 3-4 hours to receive a full charge. If you are charging your PowerSkin and phone together it will take up to 6 hours to receive a full charge.
When I am using my phone and the PowerSkin, which battery drains first and why?
Your PowerSkin always drains first. This will maintain a charge on your phone for as long as possible.
Can you jump-start your phone with a PowerSkin, if your phone battery is completely dead?
Absolutely! One of the benefits of the PowerSkin is that it has the capacity to start your phone if the internal battery is completely dead.
Will I void the warranty on my phone by using the PowerSkin?
No, the PowerSkin will not void the phones warranty. All PowerSkin cases have the required power/battery certifications.
Is the PowerSkin made out of recycled materials?
The PowerSkin protective case itself is made out of recycled silicone rubber and plastic. The electronics and battery cell are not recycled.
Can I use my original phone cable to charge the PowerSkin if it is a micro-USB tip?
Yes, in most cases you can use the original phone cable to re-charge the phone. In some cases, there may be proprietary technology embedded in the cable that will not allow for use of the original cable with other accessories.
When or how does the PowerSkin turn on?
When you plug the charged PowerSkin into your phone it automatically activates the PowerSkin and begins to charge the phone. At this point, the user can decide to keep the charging on or turn it off. By holding the on/off button down for 3-5 seconds, the charging will either start or stop.d
What do the LED lights show?
The LED lights located on the back of the product indicate two things:
1) CHARGING - When you are charging the PowerSkin, the LED lights will blink to indicate the initiation of charging mode. Starting from left to right, the lights will turn on. If charged, all 4 LED lights will remain constant or on.
2) BATTERY STATUS - When you push the on/off button once quickly, the LED lights will show the power status level remaining in your PowerSkin.
How long will the PowerSkin hold a charge?
The PowerSkin will typically hold a charge and be ready to use for over 6 months.
What tip or cable do I need to charge the PowerSkin?
You will need a micro-USB tip and cable or CB31 model # tip. You can use the original phone cable or the one that comes with the PowerSkin.
How does the on/off button work? And where is it?
It is located on the back, below the octopus logo. Press the PowerSkin on/off button until the charging is on/off (Hold for 3-5 seconds or more).
Note: AP1501MYT and AP1502HD7 do not feature an on/off button. The button on the back is used as a battery check only.How do you re-charge the PowerSkin?
To re-charge your PowerSkin, simply insert the tip of the charging cable or the original cable from the phone into the micro-USB port of PowerSkin, then plug the USB plug into any laptop or any USB adapter wall charger.

Will it damage my phone?
No, the PowerSkin case is built for protection. The case will not damage your phone.
What type of battery is used in the PowerSkin?
PowerSkin uses a specially formulated lithium polymer battery cell with XPAL PowerSafe circuitry to ensure safe and long life charging of your case and phone.
What type of silicone is used in the PowerSkin?
A soft, recycled silicone rubber mix that is weather, scuff, and fingerprint resistant.

I am having difficulty recharging my PowerSkin?
Please try using the charging cable that was supplied with your PowerSkin.
What if my PowerSkin seems to be getting warm?
Not a problem. Sometimes the electronics and battery in your phone and case are working extra hard to provide you with the power you need and may get warm.
What if my PowerSkin starts beeping while it is charging?
This indicates that the PowerSkin is drained of all power and your phone is continually trying to connect to the PowerSkin. Try removing the phone from the PowerSkin and charging the PowerSkin separately. This will reset the case. If it continues, please contact customer service for help.

Does my PowerSkin have an auto on/off button?
No. The PowerSkin will automatically shut off when the phone is fully charged. In addition, it will automatically charge the phone when it is on and the phone needs power. The phone will switch into .
Can my PowerSkin overcharge my phone?When your PowerSkin is on it is constantly working to make sure your phone is charged. Do not worry though, because you can't over charge your phone when using PowerSkin's advanced XPAL battery.
Why is my PowerSkin charging my phone still? My phone is fully charged!
Your PowerSkin works much like a wall charger. If the PowerSkin is turned on it will charge your phone constantly, because even when your phone is not in use it is draining power.

How will my PowerSkin be shipped to me?
Shipping is through USPS Priority Service. Delivery time is usually 2-4 business days. We do offer Fed Ex Home Delivery and Fed Ex 2nd Day Delivery.
My tracking number doesn’t show any information. What shall I do?
We recommend you contact your local Postal Office to see if they can assist you in tracking your package. If you do not receive your package within 5 business days and 15 business days international please contact customer service department, click here.
When I select FedEx shipping, do I need to be home when it arrives?
No. There is no signature required for deliveries to residential addresses.
I live outside the United States: What is the process for International shipping ?
Shipping is handled through Registered Air Parcels and delivery time will take 8-13 business days. We do charge a flat rate of $15.00 for all international shipping.
